Ah the rapture. From the Latin Vulgate meaning "caught up" or "snatched away". Yes it’s a real even which is to happen but when? When will the rapture happen? Didn’t Paul say the "last trump"? Isn’t that when he said we would be "caught up"? Yes I believe he did. If you look it up I think you will find that I am right about this. Doesn’t he also say that we will not go before the dead in Christ go? Yes I do believe he did say that. Look it up. So then when is the last trump? Well it just happens to be the Battle of Armageddon. So when the seventh trumpet sounds the true Church is taken away and the Battle of Armageddon begins with the nations of the world marching against Israel and ends with God himself comes to her defense. We will be with Him as He returns to earth. What an amazing day that will be.
Until then please stop looking for the first five trumpets to happen. They have already taken place. Stop looking for a man with a wound in his head that was healed. That happened when the Berlin wall came down. Stop looking for a rapture to happen before the Marl of the Beast. That is not going to happen. You may be around to see it if you don’t die first. Stop swallowing the lie. It’s too dangerous for you and your loved ones to walk around in deception. Get off that train. It’s headed for a train wreck.

A can remember about ten years ago listening to a teaching by Dr. David Jeremiah on the whole issue of tithing and so on. I had been on the fence for quite some time about it and was desparately looking for the truth about money and giving in particular. My pastor at the time had been a big proponent of tithing and I didn’t want to be disrespectful toward him by questioning his teaching so I decided to seek the Lord on my own. I was listening to a great number of different teachers on the radio and television; most of whom were teachers of the tithe requirement and one day Dr. David Jeremiah announced that he was going to go through an entire week’s worth of teaching on the tithe. "Great" I thought. Finally I might get some answers. Well he started on the following Monday and by thursday I really hadn’t heard anything new. On Friday, however, I did hear something new which was big enough to knock me off the fence I had been sitting on.
On the last day of the week long teaching on tithing, Dr. David Jeremiah said, as a way of wrapping thigs up, that people should give nine percent one week and eleven percent the following week so that it doesn’t enter into legalism. "What?" I though! In fact I think I said it out loud. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. He just finished going through several days of teaching how precise the tithe was and how important it was to be accurate and now was suggesting to alternate between nine percent and eleven percent? This deserved further research.
After a great deal of personal time spent researching the tithe as it relates to the New Covenant there really is no other conclusion to make than what I heard from Dr. Jeremiah was flat out heresy. No one ever tithed out of money in the Old Testament. And to suggest that giving nine percent is tithing is to not tithe at all. You see, friend, that the tithe does not mean ten percent. It means "tenth". The tenth animal was to be offered as the tithe. Some offerings or tithes were allowed to be redeemed using money and it was required that the first born son be offered as a sacrifice and then redeemed but money was never used in the tithe.
When it comes to the worst of it; the curse; Dr. Jeremiah was subjecting his people to the curse by suggesting they should give less than ten percent of their paychecks. This entire tithing system created by modern religious heretics is antibiblical at best and an abomination at worst.
Abraham is often trottet out as the example given to us as someone whom we should emulate as a tither. Well, friend, there is no evidence of Abraham ever tithing in the Bible. When he did tithe (to Melchizedek) he was not Abraham yet. He was still in his old name/nature. After Abram made the "Abrahamic Covenant" with God his name was changed to Abraham and there is no record of him tithing after that. Also, Abram didn’t tithe out of his own money or property. Read the account carefully. He tithed out of the "spoils" he had just taken in a specific battle to save his nephew Lot. The rest of it he gave back to the King of Sodom so that he could never be accused of owning anything that belonged to Sodom. Get it?
So what does God require? Well, friend, He requires it all. You, as a born again person, were purchased on the cross. You do not belong to you anymore. None of your money belongs to you either. Jesus said to render unto God the things that are God’s. All of you belongs to God. If you keep even one penny for yourself you are robbing God. Stop keeping ninety percent for yourself. Instead, try living the Romans 8:14 life. You are free. Who has bewitched you?
