God is not Pleased With Your Tithing

September 24, 2009 · 1 Comment

A can remember about ten years ago listening to a teaching by Dr. David Jeremiah on the whole issue of tithing and so on. I had been on the fence for quite some time about it and was desparately looking for the truth about money and giving in particular. My pastor at the time had been a big proponent of tithing and I didn’t want to be disrespectful toward him by questioning his teaching so I decided to seek the Lord on my own. I was listening to a great number of different teachers on the radio and television; most of whom were teachers of the tithe requirement and one day Dr. David Jeremiah announced that he was going to go through an entire week’s worth of teaching on the tithe. "Great" I thought. Finally I might get some answers. Well he started on the following Monday and by thursday I really hadn’t heard anything new. On Friday, however, I did hear something new which was big enough to knock me off the fence I had been sitting on.

On the last day of the week long teaching on tithing, Dr. David Jeremiah said, as a way of wrapping thigs up, that people should give nine percent one week and eleven percent the following week so that it doesn’t enter into legalism. "What?" I though! In fact I think I said it out loud. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. He just finished going through several days of teaching how precise the tithe was and how important it was to be accurate and now was suggesting to alternate between nine percent and eleven percent? This deserved further research.

After a great deal of personal time spent researching the tithe as it relates to the New Covenant there really is no other conclusion to make than what I heard from Dr. Jeremiah was flat out heresy. No one ever tithed out of money in the Old Testament. And to suggest that giving nine percent is tithing is to not tithe at all. You see, friend, that the tithe does not mean ten percent. It means "tenth". The tenth animal was to be offered as the tithe. Some offerings or tithes were allowed to be redeemed using money and it was required that the first born son be offered as a sacrifice and then redeemed but money was never used in the tithe.

When it comes to the worst of it; the curse; Dr. Jeremiah was subjecting his people to the curse by suggesting they should give less than ten percent of their paychecks. This entire tithing system created by modern religious heretics is antibiblical at best and an abomination at worst.

Abraham is often trottet out as the example given to us as someone whom we should emulate as a tither. Well, friend, there is no evidence of Abraham ever tithing in the Bible. When he did tithe (to Melchizedek) he was not Abraham yet. He was still in his old name/nature. After Abram made the "Abrahamic Covenant" with God his name was changed to Abraham and there is no record of him tithing after that. Also, Abram didn’t tithe out of his own money or property. Read the account carefully. He tithed out of the "spoils" he had just taken in a specific battle to save his nephew Lot. The rest of it he gave back to the King of Sodom so that he could never be accused of owning anything that belonged to Sodom. Get it?

So what does God require? Well, friend, He requires it all. You, as a born again person, were purchased on the cross. You do not belong to you anymore. None of your money belongs to you either. Jesus said to render unto God the things that are God’s. All of you belongs to God. If you keep even one penny for yourself you are robbing God. Stop keeping ninety percent for yourself. Instead, try living the Romans 8:14 life. You are free. Who has bewitched you?

Happy New Taxes Day!

February 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Well, is everyone enjoying the new “higher taxes day” holiday? You folks who live in Ontario, Canada probably know it better as “Family Day”. Let me run the numbers for you. This is important stuff. Whenever the government introduces a new holiday, it is actually introducing a new tax on the people through industry. Here’s a practical example of the most extreme case:

Transalta pays its employees forty three dollars an hour in Sarnia, On. That is the regular pay rate. That is the rate the employees used to get. Now, when an employee works on “Family Day”, he or she gets triple time for a twelve hour shift. That equates to fifteen hundred dollars, five hundred of which goes right into the government coffers. Does everyone get the math? Transalta is a power generating facility that never shuts down. These people have to be there and the government knows it. “Family Day” was just another power grabbing oportunity for big government and that’s all it is.

Not only that but it forces industry to pay people to do absolutely nothing. It is welfare, plain and simple. It is also legalized robbery. People can expect someone to give them something for nothing and they have the force of government to back them up. The classic Robin Hood syndrome; socialism at its most forceful ugliness. The reward for laziness magically produced to ensure the results of the next election.

Look at GM for example. It has become a retirement home which just happens to make cars. In 2005, General Motors payed out almost thirty million dollars for, get this now, erectile disfunction piils. This according to Paul Harvey news and comment. Now, isn’t that amazing? Where is GM now? Well, there’s talk of chapter 11 bankruptcy isn’t there.

Listen, folks. The encroachment of persons interested in taking over your life is all but complete. Enjoy family day.

Heavy snow in Britain means travel chaos – Yahoo! News

February 2, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I know, I know. The earth worshippers have changed the language of the dialogue to say “climate change” rather than “Global Warming” but Al Gore is still out there with his “Back to the stone age or die” message. Really, now. With record snow falls in N. America as well as England and record cold temps in the northern hemisphere is there anyone left with any intelligence (and without profit motive) who still believes in man made global warming?

American Money In Arabic?

January 9, 2009 · 2 Comments

Well, I never would have believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes. I was researching Arabic print for my son when I came across an official US government website for the Office of Domestic Finance. Keep in mind that this is U.S. currency… not Saudi. I don’t know how long the site will be active but check it out and let me know if anyone knows what the heck is going on with this.

The Peaceful Transfer of Power

December 2, 2008 · Leave a Comment

The Canadian stock exchange (TSX) saw it’s greatest single day overall loss ever yesterday. It was the greatest percentage point loss in two decades. Why? One of the key indicators of a healthy democracy is the peaceful transfer of power following elections. Canada, thanks to the two Liberal Parties and one separatist party, has been in a state of political turmoil since its recent federal election. Jack Layton, leader of the ultra left wing NDP, said yesterday he would “bring down the government at the earliest possible opportunity”. They may manage to do it with the three stooges hooking up.

The stock market reacts negatively to such comments from stupid people with power. People with money, and I mean real money, do not invest in countries who can’t make up their mind who’s going to run the show. Unstable governments, talk of separation, taxing carbon footprints, war mongering. All of it is no different than the tinpot dictators rattling swords in africa and the middle east. Who invests there? No one.

People need stability. It anchors them. The Liberal parties own this one. The market freefall is theirs. The economic woes? Theirs. The conservative tax cuts have been working. Canada is not in a recession. The economy continues to grow. The Liberals are destroying this country. Any future recession will be their doing. Shame on them for holding this country hostage for the sake of gaining power. Shame on them.

Why so many people lose in the stock market

October 11, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Even though everyone loves the underdog, nobody likes a loser. This is why people who live life on an emotional level do poorly in high finance. To them, the market looks more like a race than an investment. The strategy for the emotional investor goes as follows:
They buy a “winner” and expect it to keep winning.  If it doesn’t and starts losing value, it is labelled a loser and dumped with hopes for better returns on the next “winner”.
That is called buying high and selling low. It is emotional investing. People have been selling like mad these last couple of weeks and the only thing keeping the Dow from going any lower is the objective investors who are taking advantage of the enormous buying opportunities that wil make them very rich once this market correction has run it’s course.
Buying low and selling high goes contrary to inbred, western philosophy. It helps if you look at it this way: Do your homework. Support the underdog with the most potential. And wait. Otherwise you’re just gambling, and gambling is a tax on people who don’t know how to do math.
